Deep Rest
A long, unhurried treatment built around weight, warmth and stillness — for the weeks that ask too much of you.
£165
Wellness studio & retreat — Cornwall
Cove is a small studio for restorative treatments, breathwork and unhurried movement. Nine sessions a day, three quiet rooms, and no clock in sight.
01 — Philosophy
Rest is not time away from your life. It is the part of your life where you become able to live the rest of it.
We built Cove around a single stubborn belief: that most people do not need a new routine, a supplement or a protocol. They need a quiet room, a long hour and someone paying attention.
Everything here is arranged around that — the length of the sessions, the number of people in the building, the pace at which we work.
02 — Treatments
Body, face, breath and movement. Each session is one-to-one and long enough to be worth the journey.
A long, unhurried treatment built around weight, warmth and stillness — for the weeks that ask too much of you.
£165
Salt, clay and warm water in sequence. A grounding full-body ritual that leaves the skin soft and the mind quieter.
£145
Slow facial work with warm cloths, plant oils and sustained pressure through the jaw, brow and scalp.
£120
A guided session in conscious breathing — practical, unmystical, and surprisingly effective on a bad week.
£70
Floor-based movement at a deliberately unhurried pace. Mobility without performance, effort without strain.
£90
Two hours shaped entirely around you — bodywork, breath and rest, combined however the day requires.
£240
03 — Approach
Not a system, and not a philosophy in the grand sense. Just the five things we keep returning to, in the order they tend to matter.
Where the week actually accumulates. We work broadly and slowly rather than hunting for knots.
The one system you can steer directly. Taught plainly, so you can use it outside the studio.
Treated as the treatment, not the recovery from it. Nobody is moved on at the hour.
Unhurried and unmeasured. Closer to how you moved at eight than to how you train at thirty-eight.
Salt, clay, warm cloth, still water. Ordinary materials given enough time to mean something.
04 — Retreats
Three retreats a year, kept deliberately small. A weekend by the water, four nights under trees, or a single day at the turn of the season.
Friday evening to Sunday afternoon in a quiet house near the water. Two treatments, three shared meals, and no schedule after four o'clock.
From £680 per person
Four nights under trees, at walking pace. The slowest thing we run, and the one people find hardest to explain afterwards.
From £1,240 per person
A single day at the turn of each season — rest, reflection and a long lunch. Our shortest retreat and the easiest to say yes to.
From £240 per person
05 — Practitioners
You will work with the same practitioner throughout a session, and usually across a retreat. Nobody here is a rotating resource.
Founder & Bodywork
Ines opened Cove after fifteen years of working in rooms that were always slightly too bright and slightly too rushed. She works slowly, talks less than most, and is responsible for the studio's rule that no session ever ends on the hour.
Deep Rest, Private Sessions
Breath & Rest
Tobias came to breath practice sideways, through choral singing and a long stretch of insomnia. He teaches without vocabulary anyone has to accept first, which is why he tends to be the one people send their sceptical friends to.
Breathwork, Seasonal Renewal
Movement
Amara spent a decade in dance and now works almost entirely on the floor, at half speed. Her sessions are known for asking people to do considerably less than they arrived intending to.
Slow Movement, Retreat mornings
Face & Skin
Ruth is interested in skin as something that responds to sleep, weather and worry rather than to a shelf of products. She keeps the studio's oil list short and has strong opinions about warm cloths.
Facial Therapy, Mineral Ritual
06 — Journal
Occasional writing on rest, breath, movement and the practical business of slowing down.
Most rest routines fail because they are designed by the same part of you that made the schedule. A short argument for lowering the bar until something sticks.
The jaw is the most reliable tension indicator in the body, and the one people are least aware of. A practitioner's notes on the face.
On what happens when rest becomes another metric to optimise, and how to get out of the loop you have built around your own recovery.
